Anyone have tranducer problems with their 8800 controller? This chamber has been nothing but problems and they are all related to the controller. First it would run for about 10 days without a problem, then it would lose its mind and the process variable would be jumping all over the place, since its a new chamber thermotron replaced the main board. Now its a couple of months later and the transducer board is telling the CM that the discharge pressure of both systems is 600psi and both suction pressures are 200psi as well as we are out of water in the humidity generator. All of this information comes from the transducer board. Anyone have a quick fix for this? I will exchange your fix for the factory configuration code.

Transducer board may be sending incorrect signal or data in controller is corrupted. Usually transducer board send 4-20ma or 0-1V signal for system monitor. Check the supply signal and compare with the pressure range. Contact manufacturer for detail troubleshooting.

We have had this thermotron since september 2008, we purchased it new from t-tron. Heres a list of what has had to be replaced so far
Cascade condenser circulator fan motor condenser fan motor 8800 main board transducer board developed a leak in the high stage due to factory installation of discharge line resting on compressor pan edge discharge pressure solenoid valve EPR valve for humidity cooling low side discharge pressure regulator valve Each of these repairs were done by t-tron service engineers under warranty so it only cost us down time and the cost of shifting our test to a lab with a chamber that we could rent. If I was to comment on the quality at thermotron I would have to give them a D. Only thing saving them would be that they did fix the problems at no charge to us. |
